# Open a Chest in the app

> Move from the browser invite into OurChest on your phone

The Chest page in the browser has **Open OurChest**. That starts a handoff into the app. **Get OurChest** explains installing.

The iOS and Android apps are not in the stores yet. You can keep using the page. After you install OurChest, tap **Open OurChest**. There is no store link on this page.

## How do I move from the browser to the app? <a href="#move-to-the-app" id="move-to-the-app" />

1. On the Chest page, tap **Open OurChest**.
2. If OurChest is installed, the next page says **If OurChest is installed, open it from here.** Tap **Open in the app**.
3. If you want to stay on the web page, tap **Stay in this browser**.

**Get OurChest** on the Chest page says: **The iOS and Android apps are not in the stores yet. You can keep using this page. After you install OurChest, tap Open OurChest.**

The handoff page also says the link is not sent to a store. After you install OurChest, open the Chest in the browser and tap **Open OurChest** again.

## What if the link expires? <a href="#link-expires" id="link-expires" />

Go back to the Chest and tap **Open OurChest** again.

The app says **This link has expired. Go back to the browser and tap Open OurChest again.** The handoff page says **If this link expired or was already used, go back to the Chest and tap Open OurChest again.**

If the app link fails, the browser says **The app link expired** and **Try again.**

A lost browser, with no email added, does not bring the guest back by itself. Ask the owner for a new invite. The Chest and its files stay. The new invite is a new guest until an email is added. See [Guest access](../account/guest).

## What if this phone is already signed in? <a href="#already-signed-in" id="already-signed-in" />

The link is not used. The app says **This phone is already signed in. This link was not used. Sign out to use it, or keep this sign-in.**

Tap **Sign out and use this link** to leave the current account and open this one. Or keep the sign-in you already have. The Chest in the browser is unchanged either way.

If the phone is already linked to another person, the app says **This phone is already linked to another person. Ask the Chest owner for a new invite.**
